What is Urban Disciple?
Urban Disciple is a cross-cultural missionary apprentice experience for college-age students among churches of Christ. During a six month period (August through December), Urban Disciple participants experience life as a disciple of Jesus Christ in one of the largest cities in the world, Mexico City. Urban Disciple participants are mentored in biblical foundations and cross-cultural missions by experienced missionaries. Participants also help serve as salt and light to the millions of people in Mexico City who are searching for meaning and purpose for their lives. Finally, Urban Disciple participants are able to earn college foriegn-language credits from Mexico's prestigeous National University (UNAM).
Incarnational Ministry

Our vision for ministry comes from Jesus' example of incarnation. Jesus, the Son of God, became a man and showed us the Father as a life-style. As disciples of Jesus in an urban setting, we strive to be Jesus' body among the cultures and the communities in which we live. Urban Disciple is one way to become involved in an incarnational ministry that is redeeming households, work environments and entire neighborhoods.
